CETA, pre-apprentice services offer programs, courses, and training opportunities to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry as an apprentice. These services are designed to prepare aspiring apprentices with the foundational knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary to succeed in an apprenticeship program. 

• Introduction to Construction Industry: CETA, participants are given an overview of the construction industry, its various sectors, and the types of work involved in each area. 

• Safety Training: Safety is a paramount concern in construction. CETA, pre-apprentices are taught about construction site safety protocols, the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to identify and mitigate potential hazards. 

• Physical Skills: Physical strength and stamina to handle lifting, digging, and operating equipment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for tool use and precision tasks. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. 

• Basic Tools and Equipment Training: CETA, pre-apprentices receive instruction on how to handle and use basic construction tools and equipment safely. 

• Math and Blueprint Reading: A fundamental understanding of mathematics and the ability to read blueprints are essential skills for construction work. CETA, services include math instruction relevant to construction tasks and training in blueprint reading. 

• Construction Techniques and Materials: CETA, participants learn about different construction methods, materials, and building systems used in the industry. Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations.  

• Hands-on Training: CETA, pre-apprentices will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through hands-on training under the guidance of experienced instructors.

• Financial Tools: Financial literacy for construction workers involves understanding budgeting, managing income fluctuations, handling debt, building credit, saving for the future, and protecting earnings from financial risks. Programs and resources are tailored to apprentices and workers in construction trades to address the unique challenges they face such as irregular pay, and seasonal work.  

• Job Placement Assistance: CETA programs offer job placement assistance, connecting successful pre-apprentices with employers looking to hire entry-level construction workers or apprentices.
